Playing: Yoshi’s Crafted World (Switch)

We were gifted two of the same game during the holidays. I finally had a chance to swap one of the spares out for Yoshi’s Crafted World. We’ve been looking forward to this one for a while and have spent many Saturday afternoons lingering over the demo and exploring it to the fullest.

This one is really fun and Tanooki and I can play two-player co-op. The co-op is much less chaotic than New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, and no real time limit on most levels means that we can go at our own pace together. One of the primary reasons I bought a Nintendo Switch was so that we could enjoy games and problem solve together, and this game is a great example of that. The game is fairly text-heavy, in terms of character dialogue, but it’s fun to read along and do voices.

Being a Yoshi game already makes it safe and enjoyable for kids. Don’t be fooled by the 3 rating, Yoshi’s Crafted World is super fun for adults too.
